I couldn't think of a better title for this section ...

Editing pages which have been on the website for a while usually causes a few problems.  Also, details crop up which don't always fit easily into the general pattern.

So, when new information comes to light, it seemed best to simply put this into a different section - and here we are ...

October 14th - I've put in a link to the Spartan South Midlands League 1997-2011 section from here as a back up, because the attempt to slot this into the South Region proved abortive.

The Birmingham & District League proves to be unusual in that it continued to run at the start of the Second World War.  Check out what happened.

The points system used in the Eastern Counties League in the 1976-1977 season was unique.  Find out more about it here.

The Midland League had a little-known subsidiary competition 1924-1925, clubs playing 50 league games in the 1929-1930 season when Scarborough were champions, and was won five seasons in a row by Peterborough United before the Posh joined the Football League.  See the final tables from 1925, all Scarborough's league results 1929-1930 and every one of Peterborough's league results from the 1955-1956 season to the end of the 1959-1960 campaign.

The Conference started in 1979 as the Alliance Premier League.  Altrincham were the first champions and retained their title the season after.  All Alty's league results for these two seasons are now on site.  The first Conference side to win automatic promotion to the Football League was Scarborough in 1987.  All Boro's league results and match attendances for the season are here too.

The Eastern Counties League was not the only competition to have a 'different' points scoring system.  See what happened in the Gola League/Conference in the early 1980s in Conference 2 +.

The Leicestershire Senior League's history has caused a few problems, but at least one mystery has now been solved, with a little non-league soccer education thrown in for good measure on the Leicestershire + page.

There remains much to be unearthed about the leagues in the North East, but a bit of new information has come in about the late 1970s and 1980s.  See North East + to discover what this is.  Two extra page have now been added, linked to the North East + page, one giving a few details about the Durham Alliance and the other (Nthn Am + Comb) containing a number of Northern Amateur League and Northern Combination tables from the 1980s.

AND WHILE WE'RE ON THE NORTH-EAST -do YOU have any information on the region's leagues.  The Bits and Bats 5 section of the site contains quite a lot of detail BUT THERE ARE GAPS.  If you can help fill these, please get in touch.

There will be more appearing in this 'extras' section - it will depend what comes to light.  Visitors might have some ideas about that ... please contact the site if you have.

Early Southern League information has now been added ... from the years when one member of this competition won the F.A. Cup and another reached the Final a year later.  There is a second page also, meaning coverage here stretches from 1900 to 1920.  Details are in Southern +.

Many thanks to Ron Price for supplying Division 1 information for the years covered and I am grateful also to the RSSF website for details relating to Division 2 + summaries of movements in and out of the League and between the divisions.
